BEST USED SEA CONTAINERS – GRADE A
This quality represents around 10/15% of used containers. The container is wind- and watertight and is expected to remain so for many years without the need for repairs or consequential maintenance.
Grade A containers are usually painted in darker colors, making any surface rust less visible.
Doors: Operation with complete door seals. Easy/relatively easy to open and close. Structure: In good condition. Corrosion-free – CSC upgradable for up to 30 months.
Panels: In good aesthetic condition inside and out, with limited rust and dents and no corrosion.
Flooring: clean and in good condition in general.
MEDIUM USED SEA CONTAINERS – GRADE B
The most normal quality for used containers. Also, containers for international removals. The containers for sale are wind- and water-tight, but some deterioration in quality can be expected that may require repair work in the future.
Grade B containers come in all colors and shades.
Doors: Functional. Here they are mostly freshly painted, which is not normal!
Structure: In acceptable condition. Possibly suitable for a short-term CSC upgrade.
Panels: In general in poor condition with rust and corrosion.
Flooring: Suitable for use.
COMMONLY USED SHIPPING CONTAINERS – GRADE C
This quality represents the bottom 20% of used containers. The container is wind- and water-tight but with a limited lifespan prior to repairs to maintain watertight integrity.
Doors: Functional. Most of them are freshly painted, which is not normal.
Structure: In acceptable condition. Possibly suitable for a short-term CSC upgrade.
Panels: In general in poor condition with rust and corrosion. Flooring: Suitable for use.
